Career and Technical Education Day 2014 (VIDEO)

CTEDay2014Career and Technical Education Day at the Capitol was March 20. Legislators had the opportunity to meet with a number of schools that offer students the opportunity to receive vocational education.

Instructors and students explained the importance of offering these programs in school. They also showed off some of the projects they’ve been working on in their classrooms. These projects varied from video editing to robotics.

In this video we talked to Pat Goetten, a teacher at Alton High School, and Xavier Warren from Heartland Technical Academy about their experiences with career and technical education.
