Tech Day brings students, teachers to the Capitol (VIDEO)

Students and teachers from across the state packed the Capitol this week as part of Tech Day 2015. The annual event allows students to showcase how technology is being utilized in the classroom.

"This project helped me learn how we can use technology and how helpful it is," Simona Bilevicius, a student at Palos East Elementary said.

Participants in Tech Day raise awareness of the role technology plays in preparing students to communicate effectively and succeed in the workforce.

"Every job in the future will require some kind of technology experience," Senator Martinez said. "It's great to see the high schools and grade schools participate in these kind of technology events."
