Senator Rachelle Crowe

Rachelle Aud Crowe is a lifelong resident of Madison County and a skilled prosecutor with over a decade of experience at the Madison County State’s Attorney’s office.

Raised in the Wood River area in a family with deep manufacturing roots, Rachelle understands first-hand the unique set of issues facing the Metro-East. Her family has worked at some of the largest manufacturing centers in our region, including Olin, Laclede Steel and the Wood River refinery.

With a heavy emphasis from her family on receiving a quality education, Rachelle graduated from Roxana High School, Lewis and Clark Community College and the University of Missouri-St. Louis, all of which prepared her for her legal education at St. Louis University School of Law.

In 2006, Rachelle was hired as a prosecutor in the Madison County State’s Attorney’s office. In 2013, she was assigned to the Violent Crimes Division, where she has worked to protect our communities by ensuring violent criminals are off the streets and justice is delivered to victims and their families.

Rachelle was elected to the Illinois Senate in 2018, where she has prioritized fighting for job training programs and quality education for Metro-East students. She currently resides in Glen Carbon with her husband, Jim, and their two children.
